This was the third Spitfire Squadron and received the Spitfires given up when 101 Squadron moved to Mustangs. This was repeated in 1955 when they were reformed to operate the Mustangs given up with the introduction of the Mystere IVA. They had an operational training role. Their Spitfires had blue and white striped rudders and 1 blue spinner.
